| Portsmouth on Friday will become the first Premier League club which is administered by a liquidator after four unidentified buyers could not prove that they are owed money for the football team.
Andrew Andronikou of UHY Hacker Young will be the liquidator after the deadline passed on Thursday to find buyers for the club. The syndication is a form of bankruptcy protection.
"We made a conscious decision to put (the team) under organize tomorrow (Friday) morning," said Andronikou told the AP.
Andronikou issue a detailed statement on Friday to explain how the team will be restructured to avoid having to liquidate their assets. The team is last in the richest league in the world, and lose nine points to be syndicated.
"I'm very sad, very upset," said the coach Avram Grant.
The club, with 112 years of history, has had four owners this season and his debts amount to 105.5 million dollars.
The Portsmouth of the English league will be declared for bankruptcy on Friday, unable to find buyers who can tackle the huge debt accumulated this institution over a hundred years old.
